Taking pictures of hummingbirds has always been a technical challenge, but also a joy because they are so beautiful, like little flying jewels.
This is a lenticular with two pictures, one a male ruby-throated hummingbird, and the other is the female. Their wings move at 50 to 80 beats per second, so stopping the wing motion is a challenge. I accomplished this with a high speed strobe flash.
The birds were regulars at my hummingbird nectar feeder, which is how I got these two photographs.
2-phase lenticular art, that changes as the viewer moves.
