About Michael Brown
Michael is an independent artist working from a his studio in Antioch, Illinois. He creates lenticular art—kinetic, animated, and three dimensional imagery from his original photography and cinematography using a lenticular printmaking process.
Michael’s art is found in both public and private collections. In 2008, he was chosen by the State of Illinois to participate in the State’s Art in Architecture program. He produced 12 unique large format kinetic art pieces that are on permanent display at the University Center of Lake County. His work is also included in the Hyland Collection of American Photography, as well as public collections owned by the villages of Oswego, and Schaumburg, Illinois.
Michael travels the country through out the year exhibiting his art at shows in Florida, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Virginia, and Minnesota. He is also represented by a Cape Cod gallery: Memories of Provincetown.
In his free time, Mike volunteers for various art organizations. He is an artist advisor to Western States Art Federation, the Milwaukee Art Museum’s Lakefront Festival of Arts, and the Deer Path Art League.
